In this role, you'll provide oversight and leadership to refugee programming including resettlement, medical case management, extended case management, and other programming to supporting newly arrived refugees and Afghan evacuees.

You'll manage a growing team, building a strong supportive culture, providing mentorship, and guiding them in providing quality case management services and prioritizing service delivery tasks, timely delivery of core services, proper reporting, and case file reviews. Most importantly, you'll work to ensure that the needs of the most vulnerable clients are addressed. In partnership with the Director of Refugee Services, you'll be involved with various initiatives and represent JFS in the community, working to maintain and build strong relationships with key stakeholders and community partners.


  • Bachelor's degree in social work, social sciences, non-profit management, or related field. Graduate degree preferred.
  • Two+ years of effectively managing social programs including previous supervisory experience
  • Experience working with refugees/vulnerable populations or limited English speakers required.
  • Ability to ensure organizational compliance with grants and contracts
  • Strong relationship-building skills with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders
  • Outstanding communication, collaboration, and team-building skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage and prioritize projects
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict timelines
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making and judgment skills
  • High level of computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and the ability to adapt to agency specific software

We are conveniently located on Main Street near Highgate. A reliable vehicle, a clean NYS driver's license, required liability insurance levels of 100/300K and evidence of having received the Covid-19 vaccination is required.
