In this role, you have the opportunity to apply a researched-based Incredible Years program that encourages healthy development in children by strengthening parenting skills and developing positive methods for managing children's challenging behaviors. You will coordinate the JFS parenting-related programs and be responsible for parent engagement services and activities related to the Incredible Years Curriculum. (Note you will be required to obtain teaching certification in this program). You'll specifically take the lead in the recruitment, enrollment and instruction of parents, as well as be involved in community outreach, developing relationships with partners to collaborate on the program. Additionally, you will develop metrics, collect and report grant and other data, and prepare and submit reports.


  • A Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology or other related curriculum with coursework in childhood development preferred
  • 2 years' experience working with parents and children, such as in the child protective, education, human services or health sector.
  • Previous teaching or training experience desired.
  • 1 year experience working with refugee, asylee and immigrant population desirable.
  • Language proficiency in Swahili, French, Burmese, Arabic, Kinyarwanda, or another language common across WNY's refugee and immigrant community, as well as lived experience of the refugee or immigrant experience a plus.

This position pays a competitive wage of $19 per hr. We also offer excellent benefits for part-time including 2 weeks accrued Paid Time Off (PTO), plus pro-rated holidays, health insurance options (BCBS) and more. You will need to have a reliable vehicle, NYS driver's license and liability insurance in the amount of $100/$300K. You will also be required to show evidence of having received the Covid 19 vaccination if hired.
