The Refugee Services Volunteer Coordinator will play an integral role in community advocacy and education around issues pertaining to immigrants and refugees in the Niagara Falls Region. Additionally, they will be responsible for recruiting, screening, onboarding, orienting, training, supervising, acknowledging, and evaluating volunteers to meet the needs of our Refugee Services clients, centered around the following categories of assistance: Housing, Health, Education, Employment, and Community Connections. The RSVC will assist in other areas of Volunteer Services as needed.


· A Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or another related area

· Two or more years of experience in Volunteer Coordination preferred

· The ability to operate from a mindset of cultural humility

· Experience in program development preferred

· A passion for working with refugees

· A passion for community organizing and networking

· Organizational skills, interpersonal skills and attention to detail


This position pays $22 per hour and offers great benefits including 4+ weeks of accrued Paid Time Off (PTO), plus 13 holidays, excellent health insurance options (BCBS), 401k and much more. Since this position requires work in the community, you must have a reliable vehicle, a clean NYS driver's license and required liability insurance levels of 100/300K. If hired, you must also produce evidence of having received the Covid 19 vaccination. you must also be able to . Due to the nature of this position, you must have evening and weekend availability.
